WHSQE Senior Safety Officer

About the business and the role:

We are a well established residential property developer and builder, specialising in delivering quality homes to Sydney’s Western Suburbs. We have a significant portfolio of town-house subdivisions and apartment projects currently under construction. We also have a large volume of projects slated, assuring you of long term career prospects.

We are seeking an experienced Work Health and Safety Officer who will take pride in our portfolio, keeping our sites to an impeccable standard of safety. This will require familiarization with applicable legislation and the ability to drive a positive culture. It is essential that you have experience in applying your knowledge of safety in the residential property market.

Minimum 3+ years of experience is a MUST in Australia. 

Duties include:

  • Assist the Safety Team to implement WHS&E procedures on our sites
  • Conduct site inductions
  • Review and monitor contractors’ SWMS
  • Oversee general site safety
  • Be the part of site safety meetings
  • Analysing site practice and implementation of improved practices
  • Report and investigate incidents, injuries and hazards and implement agreed control measures
  • Help promote WHS&E awareness on site
  • Ensure compliance with the all Site Management Plans
  • Maintain all WHS&E records for projects on site
  • Work with contractors and site teams to eliminate and reduce workplace risks

To be successful in this role, you will have WHSE&Q experience in the residential building Industry, with a focus on Safe Work Procedures being an advantage. You will be able to establish safe work practices on a building site and take pride in each sites appearance. A current driver’s licence is required.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Town Planner to support our in-house town planning team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • An understanding of the development process from acquisition through to construction.
  • Capability to research and analyse development issues and provide appropriate solutions
  • Feasibility and due diligence.
  • Preparation of Statement of Environmental Effects (Subdivision/Multi-Dwellings/Residential Flat Buildings/Mixed Use), Clause 4.6 Variation Statements, RFI responses and any other relevant correspondence /reports.
  • Lodgement of Development Applications and Section 4.55/4.56
  • Preparation of Planning Proposals.
  • Liaison with local Councils and agencies.

Payroll Assistants

About the Company:

The Company believes in valuing its employees and attributes its success to the knowledge, commitment and dedication of its staff members. This is a high volume, complex, constantly changing environment within a dynamic team. They are looking for an experienced, outcome focused and proactive Payroll Officer to join their team.

The role:

The primary responsibilities of this end-to-end Payroll position are to prepare process and reconcile all weekly and fortnightly payroll for approximately 600+ employees.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Maintenance of accurate pay records and time keeping data
  • Enterprise Agreement and Award interpretation
  • Calculations relating to T&A records
  • Regular compliance reporting
  • Month end tasks and leave analysis
  • Develop strong relationships with stakeholders across all levels of the business

To be successful in this role you MUST have:

  • Minimum 2+ years of work experience in AUSTRALIA Proven experience across payroll including payroll tax, termination calculations, superannuation
  • Exposure to payroll system configuration and T&A systems
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Strong customer service and relationship development skills

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager – Subdivision Civil Works to support our in-house Civil Subdivision Works. 

Some of the key accountabilities will be:

You will be involved in a range of complex land subdivision challenges and responsible for managing our project stakeholders including Local Government, consultants, utility service agencies and civil contractors

An understanding of the land subdivision process, from site acquisition feasibility through to construction and registration of titles;

  • Worked with a tier one or tier two civil or building contractor;

  • Assembling, installing, testing and maintaining electrical systems, devices, equipment, appliances and machines on construction sites.
  • Inspecting electrical systems, devices, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
  • Using electrical and electronic test instruments to trace and diagnose faults.
  • Collecting data, performing tests, and complex calculations, estimating materials, costs and quantities.

Painter

We are seeking painter, the role is primarily responsible for preparing surfaces by removing old paint and wallpaper, fixing woodwork, filling holes and cracks, and smoothing and sealing surfaces.
Erecting scaffolding and ladders, and placing drop sheets to protect adjacent areas from paints plattering. Selecting and preparing paints to required colours by mixing portions of pigment, oil, and thinning and drying additives. Applying paints, varnishes and stains to surfaces using brushes, rollers and sprays. Hanging wallpaper, matching patterns and trimming edges, Cleaning equipment and work areas.

Responsibilities and Duties:

The position is primarily responsible to weld, fit and assemble components using welding equipments.

  • Set up welding machines based on the job at hand or using a Welding
  • Procedure Specification. Read and interpret blueprints and/or drawings to determine the specific welding requirements.
  • MIG and TIG weld steel, aluminium and stainless steel components based on the specifications of the blueprints and/or drawings.
  • Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards.
  • Follow, create and help maintain Welding Procedure Specifications.
  • Assemble items as instructed  by floor supervisor.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Keep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment and facilities.
  • Follow all company rules and policies.
  • Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task.
